Special Education

Mr. Cooper

I am a fourth generation teacher.  I graduated from Eureka College with a degree in Secondary Education Social Science and Special Education.  I then obtained my Master’s degree from Saint Xavier University.  I currently work as a Cross Categorical Instructional teacher for grades fifth thru eighth.  I am  married with two children, a son and a daughter.

Mrs. Boers

I grew up in Norwood and attended school in the very building in which I now teach!  I am a Limestone and Western Illinois University graduate.  I returned to school at Eureka College to get my Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement.  I have taught general education and special education at the middle school level.  I feel so fortunate to be able to work in this district.  It truly holds a special place in my heart.  I am married with a son and daughter.  My husband and I spend a great deal of time volunteering in the Peoria area.  I love teaching and look forward to helping my students reach their full potential.

Mrs. Colville

I have been teaching at Norwood since 2004. During my time at Norwood, I have taught primarily Language Arts, but have taught almost every subject as well. I am ecstatic to be teaching RTI/Title 1.   In addition, I am also the webmaster and newsletter coordinator and coach the Speech team.  I am an avid Cubs fan, and love to watch games, both on television and at Wrigley Field.  I love to spend time with my sons and family.

Mrs. Anderson

I began working at Norwood in 2011 and I am having the best time. I actually live in Mossville with my family, our dog and two cats. My favorite pastimes are going to movies, reading, writing, and decorating homes. Getting to work with the students at our school is truly fulfilling.
